After the passing of her husband, Elizabeth Taylor found herself needing some comfort – and unfortunately for Debbie Reynolds, that came in the form of her husband. Eddie Fisher and Liz Taylor soon embarked on secret rendezvous and not-so-secret public displays of affection, and while some people were distraught, there were others who loved this pairing.
By the time 1959 came around, Eddie was free to tie the knot with his new wife, and they were soon the talk of the town. The marriage only lasted five years before Elizabeth found love with another man, though.
