George Clooney was once dubbed “Hollywood’s life-long bachelor,” so it was a complete shock to everyone when he proposed to Amal Alamuddin less than a year after they first met in July 2013.
George told the Hollywood Reporter, “I thought she was beautiful, and I thought she was funny and obviously smart. She probably thought I was old.” In spite of the 16 year age difference, the couple have been married since 2014, and are parents of twins, Ella and Alexander.

Although Kim Kardashiand Kanye West began dating in 2012, there’s no doubt that 2014 was their year. Already iconic as individuals, “Kimye” became engaged in 2013 when Kanye popped the question with a ring that’s reportedly valued at around $2 to 4 million.
They continued to attract media scrutiny with details of their wedding, as well as the unique name of their daughter, North West. Since then, the couple have welcomed three more children: son Saint, daughter Chicago, and son Psalm.
