While most of the jobs with the Royal Family have quite a few people staffing them, so senior positions only ever have one person. Master of the Household is one such position. The current master, Vice-Admiral Tony Johnstone-Burt, has been at the position since 2013.
His responsibilities include oversight over the domestic staff in the kitchens, as well as being in charge of the pages and footmen and the housekeeping staff. As you might imagine, he gets compensated better than most, with an annual salary of $155,000 a year.
