Let’s be honest with each other here. When it comes to children and birthdays, we all readily admit that the first birthday party is more for us than for our child. They don’t really understand what the hype about birthdays is until they’re at least four or five years old. (Cake! Ice cream! Presents!) This parent went ahead with their son’s birthday party nonetheless, and while he seemed to enjoy the cake, he probably thought the rest of the event was so boring.
