We are just laughing at the sarcasm here. Of course, we know that for an electrical appliance to work, we have to plug it into a socket to connect it to the electricity supply.
However, it appears that this person forgot to plug that hair straightener into the socket. Waiting for that thing to heat up will take forever, so we would have asked the person taking the picture to just go out first and leave the other woman behind.
