Getting your first pet is a rite of passage. For many families, it’s a huge event, involving going to the local animal shelter and picking out a puppy or a kitten together. This child, though, didn’t want either of those options. He had his eyes — and his heart — set on this crustacean. Sadly, lobsters don’t make very good pets. We like to think that this day ended with the parents returning the lobster to the store, with a promise that they’ll go to the animal shelter the next day to pick out a real pet together.
