New beginnings are always hard, especially watching your little boy grow up so quickly, right before your eyes. It seems as though they go from being a tiny little newborn into a walking and talking kid, all within a few minutes.
This Dad could not seem to handle his son growing up and reaching new milestones, like when he went to school for the first time. We would have assumed that this picture should have been in the reverse, with the son having a harder time than the Dad.
