You would think that having your Dad as your coach may give you special advantages, like maybe more one on one practices, or excuses for slacking off.

However, this Dad made sure to not give his son any sort of special treatment that would make the other kids on the team call him out for showing favoritism. Even when he drove his son late to practice, he still made sure he got the appropriate consequence for tardiness and made him run laps.
