Whether you’re a meat enthusiast, a vegetarian, or a vegan, there are pasta recipes to tantalize your taste buds. What’s more, if you follow a gluten-free diet, there are pastas available at your local supermarket that cater to you. Anyone can create these tasty yet simple pasta dishes.
When cooking pasta, it’s very important to season your pot of water with a good amount of salt. Another helpful tip is to save some pasta water. If your sauce is a little thick, you can add some pasta water to loosen it and make it creamier.
Simple to make and delicious. Spaghetti is best suited for this, but Linguine works too. All you need is eggs, bacon, and some Parmesan cheese. Some people seem to think that in order to create a creamy Carbonara you need cream, but you don’t. The eggs and Parmesan, when whisked well together, will create that creamy texture. To add even more flavor, toss the cooked pasta through the bacon fat that’s left in the pan. After doing this, remove the pan from the heat and only then stir in the egg and Parmesan mixture. At this point, you want to stir vigorously so the eggs do not scramble. The residual heat from the pan and the hot pasta will cook the eggs.
Another popular, great classic. Carrots, onions, and garlic make for a good base for your Bolognese sauce. Pulse these in a food processor or simply grate them if you don’t have one. Fry them in olive oil until soft, then add the mince. While the mince is browning, start cooking your pasta in another pot. Once the mince has browned add the tomatoes and simmer. You can use canned or fresh. Don’t forget to season, season, season! Seasoning can turn a bland plate of food into a winning dish. Add your salt and pepper, and taste as you go along. Toss the pasta through the meaty sauce, sprinkle some grated parmesan cheese on top, and voilà!
Roasted vegetable pasta
This a fantastic vegetarian option. It can be made with any vegetables of your choice. Roast your vegetables with some olive oil, butter, and even add some fresh basil leaves to elevate your dish. Make sure to add salt and pepper and toss your veggies in all the herbs and spices so their flavor coats everything in the pan before roasting. Cook your pasta while the vegetables are browning in the oven. Once your veggies are done, add them to your cooked pasta. Throw in some additional butter, basil leaves, and some feta cheese, and gently swirl it all around. Taste and add more salt and pepper if need be.
Creamy mushroom pasta
This dish is so versatile because by simply substituting cow’s milk with almond milk it can become a vegan pasta dish. Fry off some mushrooms, shallots, and garlic in a pan with olive oil. Sprinkle a tablespoon of flour over the mushrooms, stir, and cook for 1 minute. Then add a cup of milk or almond milk. Stir it in and let it simmer until the sauce thickens. Toss the pasta in the sauce and serve.
So there you have it, quick and easy, and most importantly, scrumptious pasta dishes.
