[post_page_title]Marvin Gaye[/post_page_title]
One of the pioneers of the 1960s Jazz scene who helped shape Motown, the late Marvin Gaye started his life of music from his early childhood. However, his time in the army proved to be a contrast of his musical life.

Gaye enlisted in the air force after dropping out of high school in 1956 as an airman. Unfortunately, he dreaded these menial tasks, which resulted in him faking a mental complication that eventually lead to his discharge. He then went on to form The Marquees, a vocal quartet.
