Not much is known about rapper Fred Durst’s past and his time in the military. Durst enlisted in the United States Navy upon his graduation from high school, and stayed there for about two years before being discharged.
After leaving the army, Durst went on to pursue a career in the music industry, especially in the genre of rap. He eventually became successful in the music scene in the late 1990s and the early 2000s.
