For the people who have read any of the Playboy magazines, regardless of what you read it for, you would probably know who Hugh Hefner is. While he is the founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine empire, he also spent some time in the military.
Hefner served in the army between 1944 to 1946 as a writer for the newspaper in the military. After leaving the army, he then went on to further his education in the University of Illinois before starting the bunny magazine we all know and love.
