It turns out there is a lot more science to being an introvert than we ever realized. One study looked at how our brains react to the chemical dopamine – the chemical in charge of the reward center in our mind.
Extroverts get a rush of dopamine whenever they are out in social situations as they bounce off of their environments. Introverts don’t. They often think more about the details in their environment and react to internal cues rather than external ones.
