Later, when trouble begins brewing in the Southern Atlantic’s Falkland Islands, the show implies Thatcher’s belligerent response was emotional, still reeling from her son’s disappearance. Thatcher was caught tearing up in public over the matter, but Mark disappeared in January, 1982, while the Falklands conflict didn’t begin until March.
