[post_page_title]Fact check: The Royal Family fearing Charles had lost his life in the Swiss Alps[/post_page_title]
The Crown is full of ultra-dramatic moments, but only one seems to be actual life-or-death. Episode nine involves Charles’s ski vacation in the Swiss resort of Klosters. There’s been an avalanche, the Queen and Prince Philip are told, and one confirmed casualty whose identity isn’t known.

The couple’s tough-as-nails façade almost cracks as they contemplate the possible ramifications of that information. In reality, Charles was never feared to have perished in the avalanche, which took the life of his close friend Hugh Lindsay. In fact, a highly distraught Charles reportedly joined in the frantic efforts to dig Lindsay out.
