[post_page_title]Fact check: The Queen holding meetings with Charles and Diana about their marriage[/post_page_title]
The Crown granted its viewers the absolutely delicious opportunity to be a fly on the wall in private meetings presided over by the Queen, in an ultimately-doomed attempt to mend Charles and Diana’s broken marriage.

Such meetings never took place in the ’80s, and in fact Charles maintained the façade that nothing was overtly wrong right up to the 1992 publication of Diana’s explosive tell-all-by proxy. After the book was published, Charles, Diana, the Queen, and Prince Philip did indeed hold a “save the marriage” summit – but that’s after the fourth season’s scope.
