[post_page_title]Burnt away[/post_page_title]
The Montreal Biosphere is an environmentally focused museum that is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. However, in 1976, this geodesic dome probably released more fumes than is socially acceptable for a museum dedicated to the environment to release.

Whilst undergoing structural renovations, the transparent acrylic bubble on the building’s facade was burnt away, although the steel, hard trussing beneath it remained. The museum was shut for nearly 14 years, until it was reopened in 1990.
