Money is known to be full of germs, so disinfecting it is not a bad idea. That is, it is not a bad idea unless you are this guy. Seriously, we wonder what he was thinking when he thought the most efficient way to disinfect this wad of cash worth $5,000CAD would be to stick it into the microwave.
Does he not realize that you could simply just wash these plastic bills with soap and water? It is honestly that simple.
