The Chernobyl accident has been talked about to the point that we all know the gist of it, but it seems like many people have already forgotten about the horrible disaster that took place at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant in Japan.

Back in 2011, Japan was having a pretty rough time weathering both earthquakes and tsunamis that resulted from them. The combination of these natural conditions (as well as some level of human error) cause the power plant to melt down, costing a whopping $12 billion. Yeah, for real.
