[post_page_title]A sinking feeling[/post_page_title]
In 2005, construction of the Millennium Tower in San Francisco was announced. At 645 feet, it would be the city’s largest residential building, and the hottest new place to live. Completed in 2009, residents promptly moved into their new luxury home, only to be told seven years later that it was sinking into the ground.

At a building cost of $350 million dollars, that’s an expensive mistake as it is. Yet, with a $100 million repair cost and lawsuits filed against the developer, costs will only continue to pile up.
