Fellow British comedian, Ricky Gervais, has expressed his distaste for Corden’s humor. In the first season of his Netflix series, “After Life,” Gervais mocked Corden pretty explicitly when his colleague, Kath, was compiling her dinner party fantasy guest list.
After Kath mentions Corden and says that the talk show host “never stops working,” Gervais fired back with “as a chauffeur, mainly,” referring to Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” series in which he drives around with celebrities, singing covers of songs.
