When coronavirus caused production and events throughout Hollywood, there was a lot of concern surrounding what would happen to employees’ careers. Apparently Ellen’s talk show was pretty uncommunicative about what was going on. The core crew, which consists of about 30 employees, were not given any written communication about their jobs, and only after over a month were they told they’d have a 60% reduction in pay. To make matters worse, most of them found out through social media that DeGeneres had been filming from home.
