Now that both former and current employees have started speaking up about the alleged toxic work environment Ellen fosters on the show, it has become clear why many have hesitated to come forward earlier. The few ones who dared bring any complaints to senior management, quickly noticed people who put up with mistreatment were rewarded with for example gift cards and favorable treatments. The ones who brought up legitimate concerns would instead get fired, and even risk getting blacklisted in the entertainment industry – a risk most of course didn’t wan’t to take.
