Don then admitted that he did have a few slight problems when trying to figure out how to use the VCR – which he blamed was due to his age and his lack of technical skill. In the letter, he confessed to Shoukry, “I had some issues getting it going which were mine and not the player.”
He said, “I am 86 and perhaps not up to my game but I do get there eventually.” Luckily, he said, he did end up getting it to work, and “discovered the VHS works perfectly.”
