Trying to care for six children isn’t easy for any parent, especially if they’re on their own. However, Carl had the added problem of being disabled, something which affected his ability to get a job. The pressure of trying to stay afloat with the weight of the world on his shoulders quickly proved to be too much for him.
He had little money and barely enough food to put on the table, so social services threatened to take his kids away. That was something straight out of the father’s nightmares.
