After the Deputy Chief got through on the phone, he told the director everything that Ebony had gone through. He explained that she’d been living in her car with four kids – three sons and a daughter – and that she’d landed herself in hot water.
Glazier was hopeful that the director would have a place for the family in her shelter, although he knew the chances weren’t great. After all, being in winter, there weren’t likely to be many beds going spare. Thankfully, his fears were quickly settled.
