Anyone who wants their marble or granite countertops to look like they are in tip top shape for years to come, it is time to put down the homemade acidic cleaners and choose a safer alternative instead.

The operations executive at Housekeep based in London, Henry Paterson, explains that these acidic cleaners can result in damage that is irreversible to these surfaces made of natural stone. He says to rather use products specifically made for these stones, and spot test them before using on the whole countertop.
