Sponges are great little tools for cleaning, almost like the superheroes of scrubbing. However, they are not that helpful to use if you do not make sure to sanitize them every few days. It is pretty simple to do too, and requires minimal effort.
Just by soaking your sponge in water and then putting it on a dish that is microwave safe before heating it up on high for only a minute can go a long way in the sanitation department.
