[post_page_title]Not cleaning the garbage can[/post_page_title]
If you have just taken the trash out, and it seems like there is a lingering smell hanging around the garbage can, there is a good possibility that it needs to be cleaned. Yes, we know, it seems like taking out the trash is bad enough, but the smell of garbage is seriously gross.
To keep these nasty, stinky smells under control, wipe down the can at least once a week, using some sort of cleaner that contains bleach.
