Dishwashers are honestly one of the greatest inventions we can think of. It is just so easy to toss everything in there and have all our dishes cleaned with just a press of the button. However, using your dishwasher for your wooden cutting boards will do more harm than good.

The heat and water combined in the confined space of the dishwasher can result in split, cracked or warped wood. It is much better to wash down the boards with water and soap and then thoroughly dry them.
