[post_page_title]Scrubbing down painted surfaces[/post_page_title]
Our first instinct when we see a big mess on a piece of molding or a painted wall is to just scrub, scrub, scrub. However, such vigorous scrubbing using an abrasive pad could actually cause the paint to come off and result in damaged drywall or plaster, especially on the less moisture-resistant flat paint.

If there is a stain on the wall that does need to be scrubbed in order to remove, it may be better to just repaint the stained section.
