Pierre Omidyar is an unfamiliar name to most of the public, and that’s mostly because of his reserved nature, but you’ll definitely recognize his digital creation, eBay. Omidyar is an entrepreneur, software developer and philanthropist.
He worked as the founder and CEO of eBay from 1998 to 2015. With eBay’s 1998 IPO, Omidyar became a billionaire at the age of just 31. Being a member of the Giving Pledge with his wife, he plans to give away all of his $8.1 billion fortune to charity upon his passing.
