Back in 1989, a 15-year-old Marshall Mathers met Kim Scott, who was then just 13 years old. Since Kim’s home life wasn’t much better than the future Eminem’s, she moved in with him and his mom. Puppy love soon turned into a full-blown romance, and the two began dating.
In 1995, they had a daughter, named Hailie Jade. Then, exactly a decade after they met, Em and Kim tied the knot. That was the same year that The Slim Shady LP, Eminem’s second studio album and his first with a major label, was released. His sudden fame, unfortunately, would not do them any good.
