Although LL Cool J and Simone Smith weren’t in high school together when they first connected, they were both teenagers. According to the rapper, he was around 19 years old when a friend asked him if he wished to meet one of his cousins.
LL wasn’t sure until he saw what said cousin looked like and decided that he was very interested in meeting her. Simone was apparently 17 around the time this happened, and they started dating soon after. The wedding came around eight years later in 1995.
