Twilight fans were over the moon about this relationship (for obvious reasons). But most people who observed Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart together in public noticed he seemed utterly smitten, whereas she seemed a little more…lukewarm. It all makes sense in hindsight, as she did go on to date women.
Pattinson first got his heart broken by Stewart when she cheated with director Rupert Sanders, but he still stayed with her for almost a year after. Eventually he realized it would never work, and today he probably realizes it was all for the best.
