Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes star in this Netflix original film based on the novel of the same name by John Preston, which in turn is a reimagining of the events that led to the excavation of Sutton Hoo, in 1939.
Mulligan is a wealthy widow who hires an archaeologist, played by Fiennes, to dig up mysterious formations on her lad, which leads to the discovery of a wealth of medieval Anglo-Saxon artefacts. Release date: January 29, 2021.
