Having a hard time pronouncing Xoloitzcuintle? Just call this guy a Xolo. He’s a Mexican hairless dog. Never heard of it before? It’s an incredibly old dog breed, dating back around 3,000 years! Don’t worry though. It’s relatively unheard outside of Mexico and Central and South America.

The Xoloitzcuintle

In fact, Americans often mistake the Xolo for the mythological creature, El Chupacabra. It comes in many sizes, ranging anywhere from 10 to 55 pounds, and is known for having big ears and almond-shaped eyes.
