In most other countries, store dummies, also known as mannequins, are only found in the one standard shape, which is thin and toned. India thought this to be an unrealistic expectation and chose to represent all body types in their stores instead, by investing in plastic models of all sizes and shapes.
They might just be the trailblazers in this field, and this is a sentiment that other countries should also seek to adopt. After all, we are all different, and having a one-sized mannequin is not an accurate representation of the people.
