Many hardcore fans of the movies who watched them for the very first time probably loved everything about Edward. Yet, when you truly look at the way he handles his love for Bella, it’s kind of startling. Many will agree that he is very possessive when it comes to his love.
To sum this up perfectly, there are many moments where Edward shields Bella from her father, friends, and especially Jacob (though that one makes a lot of sense). The love is there, but he takes it over the top, most of the time.
