Love can be a powerful thing, there’s no doubt about that. So, it’s not as if Bella is the only person to probably go a little overboard with her love. But when you go back and watch, she makes it clear that she wants to become a vampire to stay with Edward forever.
That’s a romantic gesture, sure, but it also means she’s willing to basically push everything else to the side, including her family and friends. Again, love is strong, but it can sometimes be over the top.
