It’s not rare for a couple to have a registry when they end up getting married. Everyone from family to friends is always welcome to either buy gifts or give cards to the married couple.
And, while that was the case when Ben and Jessa ended up getting married, they also told their fans that they were welcome to do the same. This drew a bit of controversy, but at least no one was ever obligated to give (in the case that they didn’t want to or simply couldn’t do so).
