The fact that the Duggar children weren’t allowed to go to the beach makes perfect sense when you remember the dress code restrictions of the family. After all, the girls weren’t permitted to wear clothing that showed off their skin.
Meanwhile, the boys couldn’t look at girls that showed off their skin. So, when you put those two facts together, you realize that beaches were never a vacation destination for the Duggar children growing up. Unless, in theory, the beaches were visited during the colder months.
