With texting, you need to be really careful with your word choice. Things that would be clear as day due to intonation in a real conversation can be confusing during a conversation that happens over text. Take this exchange, for instance.

This person was looking to get a rough estimate on how long a process would take, but they requested a “coarse” estimate instead. You know, coarse essentially means rough, so it makes sense. The other person took it literally though, and their answer was incredibly coarse. A little too coarse if you ask us!
