Cats are incredibly flexible, and one of their many odd traits is how they love squeezing their bodies into the least comfortable looking places. Like this guy right here. He has basically turned himself into a square, and looks just beyond adorable as he melts into the cardboard box.
Us humans can hardly relate to felines affinity for tiny spaces (show me even one person who enjoys wearing clothes that are too tight!), but to cats chilling like this it just a normal daily occurrence.
