This is the point in the slasher flick where the maniac and/or supernatural entity breaks out its hiding place and the music spikes suddenly for the perfect jump scare. Man, we hate jump scares.
This might be the perfect example of the two-sentence horror story genre, as it says so little and yet there’s so much in what’s being left unsaid. The rest of the story seems to hang in the air, best left unspoken. Whatever the end is, it couldn’t have been good.
