No one likes being watched. As children, we’re used to constantly being looked after and watched over by a variety of adult caretakers. From parents to teachers, someone almost always has their eyes on us. As we grow older, however, those eyes are taken off, one by one.
Eventually, we’re only left with the eyes of very close loved ones – parents, spouses, and the like. There’s something spine-chilling, then, about the narrator discovering that they were being watched. Someone is trailing them… and we don’t think they were supposed to find out about it.
